Domaine Spiropoulos was first designed in 1987 by Dr. Argyris Petronotis, professor of Architecture of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and constructed for the first time in 1989.
The winery is located in the heart of Arcadia, in the 'Polyampelos Mantinia' at an altitude of 627 meters, just a few hundred yards from the ancient walls, the market, and the theater of the ancient city.
The core of the winery is a traditional Arcadian stone tower which dominates the modern building and harmonizes the old with the new in the same way that the wine is an harmonization of tradition and technology.
All the white and sparkling wines are produced in the winery, within the privately-owned and organically-cultivated Moschofilero vineyards. The main installations and the offices are also located there.
In the 'Protected Designation of Origin area of Mantinia more than 350 stremmata (approx. 88 acres) are cultivated at an altitude from 627 to 655 meters. The vineyards consist mainly of Moschofilero vines. The location is split in three separate zones: the Artemisio region, the collective vineyard of Zevgolatio, and the collective vineyard of Agiorgitika village.
In the vineyard of Artemisio, the varieties Syrah, Cabernet sauvignon, Cabernet franc, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon blanc are also cultivated, along with Moschofilero.
All the vineyards are organically cultivated.
