Chronis Ieropoulos has been occupied with vineyards and vinification since the beginning of the 1970s. He used to accompany his grandfather when he looked after the family’s vineyards located at “Mylos” position in Koromilia, Kastoria.
There, at 700 m altitude, the grandfather analyzed the way to take good care of the vineyard, without the use of machinery, but with methods that do not, in any way, burden the vineyard or the soil.
His various professional obligations compelled Chronis Ieropoulos to travel around the world. Alongside with his main occupation, he sought the best wines, pursued to meet winegrowers and discuss with them, in order to get familiar with the whole procedure.
In 2008, he decided to realize his dream and establish a nonpareil vineyard and winery, combining his grandfather’s principles with contemporary methods of cultivation and vinification.
He aimed at producing small quantities of wine, of such exquisite quality that would be recognized internationally. His wife and daughters embraced his dream and have been supporting him since the beginning, making this whole effort a family matter.
