The winery is situated in the area of “Kounavi” in Southern Heraklion.
The visit includes a tour to the winery’s facilities and the underground cellar, wine tasting accompanied by Cretan delicacies and a video projection demonstrating the island’s long winemaking history and tradition followed by a discussion and shopping from the cellar.
Directions: From Heraklion heading south, 11 km after the archaeological site of Knossos Palace.

Close to the winery you may visit the traditional village Archanes, the archaeological sites of Vathypetro and Knossos, as well as the traditional pottery workshops in Thrapsano.
In Houdetsi you can visit the music workshop “Labyrinth”, a museum of traditional instruments from all over the world created in 1982 by Ross Daly. In the village Myrtia you can visit the museum of the renowned writer Nikos Kazantzakis (his personal archive exhibited), and the stone-sculptured wine-presses of the Middle Age, in Katalagari village.
